Paula, this sounds like an interesting group of homes.  Are they built with Baby Boomers in mind?

Robin - They actually appeal to a wide range of people. I find many people who like the structure and design of the older arts and crafts style homes, but do not like the work and remodeling which comes with that age of home. The builders today have combined the style of these  homes with amenities today's homeowner wants, like higher ceilings, main floor master, larger rooms, updated electric, etc. for a very desirable look and feel. I really like the look of the neighborhoods of these homes.

There is one a neighborhood in Phoenix which is completely designed around the community feel of this style home and I loved driving through there.

Do you have these style new homes subdivisions in Tucson?

Paula, That sounds pretty enticing.  We don't yet have these types of subdivisions in Tucson, but I am sure we would have a market for them.  One feature that I found particularly appealing is the garages in back of the houses.  I have had complaints from buyers who don't appreciate the garage being the first thing you see.

I love these home tours.  You can learn so much about trends and decorating.

Tina - I agree - the builders and designers are there to talk to, it is a fun educational time, especially for those of us in the industry.
