Lockerbie Square Victorian Masterpiece
In a recent post, I told about my trip to Lockerbie Square. This is an area of Indianapolis which has undergone revitalization. Most of the original homes have been refurbished, restored and updated, while retaining the original historic quality of the neighborhood. These older homes and neighborhoods have become popular for home buyers in Indianapolis.
Lockerbie Square is the oldest surviving neighborhood in Indianapolis and one of the nation's pre-eminent examples of Victorian restoration.
I met one of the homeowners while she was out trimming her gardens. I was amazed by the pristine condition of her home, which you could tell has been lovingly cared for. She showed me around her gardens; we talked about some of the history and changes she has observed in the 17 years she has lived in Lockerbie Square. I like knowing the scoop, so told her I would check back for an update.
Here's a look at her home:

Wow! I love the brick walkway to the front porch...love all the BiG OAKS...these homes have such character that we don't see in FL!! Nice display...I see why you enjoyed it!
Paula,
Great show! The gardens are beautiful and I'm sure you won over a future client with this one. Kudos!
Paula,
I would love to stage a home like this! Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.
Laurie: I agree......of course the homeowner I spoke to was bemoaning the work the home requires. With three stories and 4000 square foot, maybe I only want to visit! :)
