At Home in Indy: Here's the Proof - Fall is Just Around the Corner!

Here's the Proof - Fall is Just Around the Corner!

On a tour through some model homes in Parks at Prestwick in Avon, I saw it! Shades of orange, yellow, red and purple speckled the landscape and few leaves hitting the ground. Soon, too soon actually, the ground will be covered with leaves and the trees bare.

For now, I enjoy watching the leaves change color and seeing Mother Nature's Fall display. It is part of the beauty of living in Indianapolis where we have seasons.

Paula, we had snow this morning!  Our aspen are peaking right now and it is beautiful, but I know you have lots to look forward to.

I love the last picture!  The property looks like fall! The colors. I love the colors.

Paula - The Fall colors on the tree match perfect with the home. My wife and I will be down your way next month for the fall colors in Brown County. Plan on going to the covered bridges and of course shopping.

Hope everything is going good in Avon. Been there a few times. Great community.

Paula, Fall colors are so beautiful and your pictures capture the beauty of fall so well.

I love it when the colors first start to peak out.... it is getting so cold here so fast that I suspect we will not have much time for color change.... 20 this morning

My hubby and I lived in the Philly area for a couple of years.  One of the things I miss is the phenomenal beauty of the rolling hills in the fall.  Coeur d'Alene has 4 beautiful seasons, but we have different types of trees, most of which do not change color (so we have green year round).  The fall on the east coast, particularly in PA is just stunning.  Thanks for the memory!!

Paula - Lovely shots.  This is my favorite time of the year, I love the colors.  It is also very spectacular  inarea.

ok... I'm jealous, leaves changing color, snow in the rockies, 20 in Oregon (Ok, not really jealous of that one!)

It's 90 in Dallas still... no sign of Fall in sight!

Ashley: Isn't it beautiful! I love this area of Avon...the homes are built on a nature preserve with rolling hills. Doesn't that house look just perfect for the fall?

Ah Joanne - snow already! So, do you get fall early, or do you have mostly evergreens?

Me too, Sally! If you look at my websites, they are all the fall colors. It is a wonderful time of year.

Thesa - That happened to us in Spring. We had a late snow and all the flower blooms on the trees dies. I can't believe it is 20 degrees there already.

Paula, I'm so glad that you provide these photos.  I really thought that Indiana was relatively tree-less- it's a very lovely place.  Glad that I know!

Paula, the photos are great.  We are seeing the same color change starting in Michigan.

Laurie - Isn't it funny the perception we have of other places until we see pictures. We have lots of trees and creeks and oh yeah, covered bridges! I'll get those pictures when I go to the Covered Bridge Festival.

Most think we are just plains and corn fields.

Paula, I'll have to go over to the park across the street from my house and take some pictures.  We've been talking about how unusual it feels with all the leaves changing colors and even how many are already on the ground.  It just seems strange because up until a few days ago, we were still in the 90's here.
Posted by Brett Mumaw ~ Southern Indiana REALTOR® (Semonin Realtors) over 4 years ago
Brett - It was 92 the day I took these shots and today about 75. I noticed more color today and the fall color seems to be gone before you know it. Guess even the temperature can't fool Mother Nature. Go get some pictures!

Hi Paula:  What beautiful pictures.  Funny, but it came right on schedule.  Last Monday night I was in the office late.  When I left, it had cooled off somewhat, and when I stepped outside and smelled the fresh air... it actually, really and truly smelled like Fall.  I was so pleased.  Autumn is my favorite time of the year.       Karen Anne

Karen Anne - I know exactly what you mean. The air does take on a different smell this time of year, which is also my favorite. I was talking to my Dad the other night about how the trees, even those which are still green are a different shade of green. Fall is a beauty like no other!

Hi Paula,
Thank you for sharing those photos with us, they are great.  We had a cool (can't call it cold) front move through and it feels a little like Fall here today.  Our highs were in the mid 70's.  I know that's not Fall for some areas but for us in late September, early October that is Fall.
Posted by Cynthia Tilghman, Realtor® Onslow County NC Home Specialist (Kingsbridge Realty, Inc) over 4 years ago

Hey Paula,

It is getting to be fall here also. The weather was in the 80's today with temps dropping down in th 70's at night.

Posted by Jeff Payne, Panama City Real Estate (The Payne Group at Keller Williams Success Realty) over 4 years ago
Hi Paula:  Do I love Autumn ?  Well,  what do you think ?  Tonight it is going down to the high 60's.  I've got the air conditioning on, so it feels even colder.  Then, just now, I started a fire in the fireplace, which should be blazing away in about twenty minutes.  Yikes, I sure want Autumn to hurry up and get here.

Great pictures and Fall is special in areas where you have "four real seasons".  Here in Norhtern Virginia we are blessed with the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Skyline Drive that runs along the top overlookin the Shenandoah Valley.  People come from far away to see this spectacular display of color

Paula,

Autumn is my favorite time of the year.  I love watching the leaves change - all the colors are so beautiful.  Indiana is a bit ahead of us - we haven't had many leaves start changing here yet.

Tomorrow in Milwaukee it is suppose to be in the 80's can hardly believe it. But the colors are out on the trees and everyone will be driving around to look at them. Fall in Wisconsin is a beautiful site. We moved back here in 1990 from California. I sure love fall in Wisconsin.

Cynthia - We had some cool weather and now it is warmer again, but fall is surely in the air, not only in the color of the trees. I can't wait!
